This is because the average hair stylist has some kind of taste and is experienced enough to know that only a certain kind of cut will fit well on the individual, while the customer does not desire that cut whatsoever.
When one of these situations takes place, one of two things will happen. Firstly, one might reiterate numerous times the importance of cutting to please his own will, in which case the hair stylist is forced to fulfill the will of the customer, or the opposite might occur, and the customer will be more easy going, and the hair stylist will end up doing whatever he feels is appropriate for this particular head of hair.
The latter kind of behavior is the one that gets everybody really upset. After all, what kind of person messes around with the way that one looks and feels about himself? At the end of the day, it is not the hair dresser who has to walk around with this cut, it is the customer. Let us hope that barbers and hair stylists will let the customers design their hair as they please without interference.
